I usually try to trade by book value if it's a bigger trade. It's the only way to keep it fair for both sides.
Additionally, even if an Auto has a book value of $10, I value it a bit higher if trading for anything less than an auto in return. Don't know about you, but I don't pull that many autos unless I've bought a box with a guarentee.
